The SEAT Salsa driver can choose one of three environments, which change both the appearance of the interior and the actual configuration of the car. Each one is characterised by the following:

Sport: With this configuration, the dashboard shows a classic layout with an instrument panel and indicators on the driver's side. The driver's seat goes to its lowest position (previously set by the driver) suitable for sports driving. The sound of the engine inside the vehicle becomes more perceptible, the gear-box goes into Tiptronic mode and the interior lighting is brighter.

Comfort: In this position, the interior environment is more relaxing, the instruments on the dashboard darken and are partly hidden by a central cover. At the same time, a multifunctional screen appears in the centre of the dashboard, which from now on provides the driver with information. This can be used to adjust the climate-control, consult the on-board computer, adjust the sound equipment, etc. The engine noise is deadened to a more comfortable level and the driving position is changed to the setting chosen by the driver. The gear change goes over to automatic, with a specific user programme. In this mode the interior lighting also changes and becomes softer.

City: This mode is designed for the ever more complicated task of town driving, and has additional functions. The multifunction screen now includes information on the state of the traffic, cinemas, restaurants, etc. The gear change stays in automatic, using a programme designed for town driving. The remaining elements stay with the same characteristics as the comfort environment.
