1962 Morgan +4 Super Sports
In 1962, Christopher Lawrence and his team at Lawrence Tune achieved Morgan's greatest success at Le Mans with a modified +4 Roadster. This later became the prototype to the Super Sports model which featured a lighter body and more powerful 120 bhp engine.
A year later Morgan offered Lawrence Tune's engines as a new model for the 1963 catalogue. These transformed the Triumph TR2 engine from 92 to 120 bhp. They were easily identified by their bonnet scoop which accommodate larger Weber carburetors under the hood.
