1961 Aston Martin DB4 Series V Vantage Gallery

This special DB4 has been restored to a very high standard, with the body virtually flawless and looking magnificent in deep black. Under the bonnet, the car presents very well, and the interior is virtually unmarked. It was recently driven by an RM specialist, and we can confirm that this 1962 Aston Martin DB4 Vantage Series V drives as well as it looks, even in the hot weather of southern Europe where the car was tested, with the coolant temperature remaining constant and the oil temperature good.

Extensive documentation is supplied throughout Mr. Fabri’s ownership, and the accompanying invoices from Ian Mason are complete in the history file. In 1996 the vendor purchased the car from Mr. Fabri, a keen racing driver himself, who continued to campaign the car in AMOC events. The DB4 was sent to the Aston Martin works service in 1996 for repairs to sections of corrosion in the chassis, but Ian Mason continued to maintain and prepare the car, obviously knowing it well after having worked with it for the previous few years. A total body and chassis restoration was completed in 1998/1999. During this time the roll cage was strengthened, and Koni adjustable front shocks were fitted along with a stiffer front anti-roll bar and solid steering rack mountings.
One of just 31 RHD, Vantage-specification Series IV DB4s built. Matching-numbers ‘SS’/Vantage-spec engine with performance upgrades. Desirable shorter body, covered headlamps. Offered from the collection of an Aston Martin marque enthusiast.
Very rare in left-hand drive, one of only 45 Series IV Vantage models built. Sensible upgrades for drivability, including a Harvey Bailey handling kit. Subject to comprehensive German restoration, including detailed chassis.
This Aston Martin DB4 is one of only 95 Series V Vantage Coupés ever produced and comes equipped with its correct SS-specification engine, which includes triple SU carburettors and some minor internal differences.

One of only six DB4 Series 5 Vantage GT Coupes built. Originally equipped with a GT-spec “twin plug engine”. An older, painstaking restoration with sympathetic modifications. Complete with period “knock-off” wire wheels and extremely purposeful in appearance, the DB4 is offered with a California title, Bill of Sale and FIA paperwork. Blindingly fast, brilliantly restored, sympathetically modified, carefully maintained and extremely rare, this DB4 is a true driver’s car that perfectly embodies the Aston Martin’s performance heritage.
