400kph is the new 200mph

Is 400kph is the new 200mph?

Among tuning circles, and especially Porsche 911 tuning circles, a big challenge is to reach 400 kph. Sportec have come very close with their SPR1, but 9ff Tuning is determined to take the cake. Their GT9 has one of the best power-to-weight ratios of all the cars on Supercars.net and is a possible contender to beat 400kph. We should also mention that Dauer beat this record with a converted sports prototype over ten years ago.

Also in tuning news, Edo Competition, who have been bold enough to hack a MC12 in the past, have finally got their mitts on a white Ferrari 599. While details are elusive, most of the development work seems to be under the hood.

We finish off with a list of the newest cars headed to Frankfurt in September:

2007 Subaru Impreza WRX Concept
2007 Peugeot 308 RC Z Concept
2007 AC Schnitzer Z4 M Coupe Profile
2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed
