From July 27โ31, the city of Seattle was invaded by one of the largest gatherings of Alfa Romeo enthusiasts ever assembled in the U.S., when more than 600 members of the American Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) attended the clubโs national convention in Bellevue, Washington.

Dubbed โAlfa Potlatchโ for the native American term for a social gathering, this yearโs event featured a host of activities including a track day at Pacific Raceway, an autocross, several rallies and an outstanding concours. But unique to this yearโs event was the rare opportunity to tour the private collections of Seattle enthusiasts Greg Whitten and Jon Shirley. Whitten and Shirley not only opened their doors to AROC for tours of their respective collections, but also brought a number of special Alfa Romeos to the track for demonstration runs, as well as to the Sunday Concours dโElegance. Among these special vehicles were Whittenโs Tipo 33 and P3, while Shirley brought out his stunning 8C2900.
