Seb Coppola and Paul Wilson have been crowned as 2013 champions of Class A (pre-1972) and Class B (1972-’76), respectively, for the Formula 5000 Drivers Association. Coppola’s 1970 Lola T192 (above) finished 2nd to outgoing Class A champ Tony Adamowicz’s Eagle in the season finale at Circuit of the Americas in late October, while Wilson secured his title by driving his 1973 March 73A (left) to the Class B win in the Texas closer. Since the race was part of the SVRA’s first annual U.S. Vintage Racing National Championships, Wilson’s overall F5000 win also earned him a 2013 National Championship Helmet.
