Amelia Island Concours (2016) – Pegaso and Rolls On Top

The 21st annual Amelia Island Concours dโ€™Elegance was held March 13 on the 10th and 18th fairways of The Golf Club of Amelia Island at The Ritz-Carlton, and marked the 100th anniversary of BMW while celebrating 50 years of the Lamborghini Miura and featuring the Porsche 356, Bizzarrini Spiders, Pegaso, Cord and Concepts Beyond Detroit. The eventโ€™s guest of honor was second-generation German racer Hans-Joachim Stuck, whose stellar career was recognized with an array of the โ€œCars of Hans Stuckโ€ that included five Porsche 962s, three of both Formula One machines and BMW CSLs, and his Trans-Am Audi 200 quattro.

On the concours lawn, Best of Show honors were shared by a 1952 Pegaso Z-102 BS 2.5 Cupola Coupe (left, above) from the Louwman Museum in The Netherlands, which won Concours de Sport, and a Brewster-bodied 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sedanca de Ville (right, above) from Californiaโ€™s Nethercutt Collection in the Concours dโ€™Elegance.
