Maserati GT2 Stradale Review by Henry Catchpole

In February 2025, Maserati unveiled the GT2 Stradale, the road-legal version of their GT2 race car. The GT2 Stradale uses the same 3.0 L twin-turbo V6Nettunoengine as the MC20, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This powertrain produces 631 hp and promises a 2.8-second 0-to-62-mph time with a top speed of 201 mph.

The GT2 Stradale features aggressive bodywork and significant aero upgrades. Even without its optional rear wing, the front splitter and underbody generate 280 kg of downforce at 174 mph—nearly double the standard MC20.

Underneath, the chassis benefits from recalibrated hydraulic steering and suspension tweaks, including 10% stiffer springs and revised geometry. Michelin Cup 2R tires provide serious grip, while rose-jointed suspension components improve precision.

To see what the GT2 Stradale is capable of, watch Henry Catchpole put it through its paces on Italy’s legendary Mello road circuit in the latest episode of The Driver’s Seat by Hagerty.
