In this Top Gear video, the team explores the engineering behind the latest reimagined Singer DLS Turbo and drives it on both road and track. Designed for just 99 customers, the car transforms a classic Porsche 911 (964) into a high-performance machine with interchangeable road and track configurations.
Owners can switch between setups using separate aerodynamic components, wheels, and suspension tuning stored in dedicated cases. The road version uses a subtler bumper and ducktail spoiler, while the track setup adds deeper aero elements and a large adjustable rear wing. The car prevents mismatched parts by disabling the engine if incompatible configurations are installed.
Power comes from a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six producing 710 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, revving past 9,000 rpm. Packaging challenges led to water-cooled cylinder heads, wing-mounted turbochargers, and an electrically driven cooling fan. A six-speed manual gearbox and reinforced chassis complement carbon-ceramic brakes and adjustable dampers.
