A highly significant 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari is set to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s via a sealed-bid sale this month, carrying an estimated value of $5.5 million to $6.0 million. This particular example stands apart thanks to its direct connection to former Scuderia Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, who took delivery of the car new in 2014. It remains exceptionally preserved, having covered fewer than 4,000 kilometers and passed through just two owners, with the current custodian acquiring it from Massa in 2021.
One of only 499 LaFerrari coupes produced, this car traces its origins to the model’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2013, where select units were reserved for Ferrari’s Formula 1 drivers. Massa’s example carries unique personalization, including bespoke plaques on the steering wheel and firewall, along with a commemorative inscription between the seats reading “Grazie Felipe,” signed by then Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo.
Finished in Nero over a Nero Alcantara interior, the car features distinctive Rosso Corsa accents across the exterior and cabin, as well as sought-after Atelier options such as FXX-K-style wheels, carbon-fibre aerodynamic elements, and Rosso Corsa brake calipers. Additional equipment includes a suspension lift system and track camera package, underscoring its dual road-and-track capability.
Delivered new to Massa in Monaco, the car remained in his care until 2021 before being exported to Denmark. Since then, it has been meticulously maintained by Formula Automobile A/S, the country’s official Ferrari dealer, with servicing records documented in 2022, 2024, and most recently in April 2026. Battery health—an important consideration for LaFerrari’s hybrid system—was recorded at 77% during its latest inspection.
With its low mileage largely accumulated during Massa’s ownership, exceptional provenance, and carefully curated specification, this LaFerrari represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari’s most celebrated modern hypercars with direct Formula 1 lineage.
