As offered through Sotheby’s Motorsport, this 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta represents one of the defining achievements of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated V-8 era. Conceived as the open-top evolution of the uncompromising 458 Speciale, the Aperta pairs the visceral character of Ferrari’s final naturally aspirated mid-engine V-8 with an electronically sophisticated chassis and the added appeal of open-air driving. With production capped at only 499 examples worldwide, it has become one of the most sought-after modern open Ferraris.
This example has accumulated approximately 4,000 miles and is finished in the striking special-order combination of Giallo Triplo Strato with Livrea Blu Nart. Its original window sticker shows a $318,060 base price and a $417,895 total suggested retail price, including substantial factory personalization. Special paint accounted for $26,998, while additional options included an Adaptive Frontlighting System, Ferrari trolley and rear-shelf luggage sets, blue brake calipers, carbon-fiber inner sill trim, colored seat belts, Alcantara dashboard and central tunnel, a suspension lifter, electrochromic mirrors with HomeLink, colored floor mats, and a silver dedication plate.
Power comes from a 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V-8, producing 605 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and delivering its power through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission. Supporting that engine are carbon-ceramic brakes, SCM2 magnetorheological dampers, F1-Trac traction control, and Ferrari’s sophisticated suite of electronic chassis systems, giving the Aperta the same focused, high-performance character that made the Speciale so revered.
According to the seller, the Ferrari has been maintained exclusively with OEM equipment and underwent a CPO inspection and service on July 23, 2026. No current repairs are reportedly required, while the tires retain substantial tread, with two dated 2024 and two from 2023. The car is also covered by a transferable factory/CPO warranty through 2028.
The seller reports an exceptionally clean exterior with no scratches, dents, chips, touch-ups, or paintwork confirmed by Ferrari. The interior is similarly described as well preserved, with all equipment functioning properly. The sale includes OEM Ferrari tools and parts, a factory car cover, and trickle charger.
Adding further distinction is the seller’s claim that this may be the only 458 Speciale Aperta fitted with full shields on the headrests. Combined with its rare specification, low mileage, documented condition, and 499-unit production run, this Aperta stands out as a particularly compelling example of Ferrari’s last naturally aspirated V-8 open-top flagship.
