FOR SALE: 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Spider

Driven for only 907 miles since new

Now listed for sale on Bring a Trailer, this 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Spider represents the 50th open-top Ferrari produced by the marque and stands as one of the most technically focused convertibles of its era. Introduced at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the Pista Spider combines the visceral appeal of open-air driving with engineering derived directly from Ferrari’s motorsport program.

At its core is a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8, an engine architecture that marked Ferrari’s return to turbocharged V8 power in a road car since the iconic F40. Extensive revisions—including larger intercoolers, revised camshafts, titanium connecting rods, and exhaust manifolds derived from the 488 Challenge—helped produce a factory-rated 710 horsepower and 567 lb-ft of torque. Power reaches the rear wheels through a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transaxle and electronically controlled limited-slip differential.

Performance is exceptional, with 0–62 mph arriving in just 2.85 seconds and a claimed top speed of 211 mph. Despite its outright pace, the Pista’s engineering emphasis extends well beyond straight-line acceleration. Its Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer system uses brake-pressure intervention to enhance control near the handling limit, while extensive aerodynamic development and lightweight construction contribute to the car’s track-oriented character. At a manufacturer-quoted 3,054 pounds, the Spider is more than 200 pounds lighter than the 488 GTB coupe.

This example is particularly lavishly specified, wearing Matte Bianco Italia paint complemented by an extended Matte Nero DS racing livery and a Nero Alcantara cabin. Nearly $185,000 in factory options elevate its specification, including Daytona-style carbon-fiber racing seats, carbon-fiber interior and exterior trim, 20-inch forged wheels, titanium exhaust components, JBL Professional audio, Apple CarPlay, a suspension lift system, and airbrushed Scuderia Ferrari shields.

The retractable two-piece hardtop preserves the Spider’s dramatic proportions while stowing neatly behind the cabin. Carbon-fiber aerodynamic components, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, magnetorheological suspension, ceramic-composite brakes, adaptive lighting, and extensive driver-focused controls complete a package engineered to deliver both exceptional road performance and genuine track-bred precision.
