The Automotive Fine Arts Society (AFAS) will return to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with a selection of automotive artwork on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Sponsored by the Lincoln Motor Company, this year’s Pebble Beach exhibit will showcase the latest creations from automotive artists around the world.

“We have a long-standing relationship with the Automotive Fine Arts Society that spans more than 30 years and has included some of the finest automotive artwork in the world,โ said Sandra Button, Chairman of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. “Every year AFAS members showcase breathtaking works of art that complement the automobiles on display. We have been privileged to work with many artists who have a keen eye for the finer details and elegance of the automobile. These artists are doing all they can to help others see and appreciate automotive style.”
The 2016 AFAS exhibit will take place on the 18th fairway from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. AFAS artists exhibiting this year are:

Additional AFAS guests attending the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours include artists Sandrine Blondel and Dan McCrary, Robert E. Larivee — Author of โHot Red Detroitโ and the Art Center College of Design.
One of the art pieces on display at this yearโs show is Jay Kokaโs newest work, entitled โ918 on Oceanโ. It depicts a Porsche 918 on Ocean Avenue in Carmel during Car Week. Known for his ability to manipulate color and mood to create automotive masterpieces, Kokaโs art has been featured at several international events over the years including the Pebble Beach Concours.
Along with the exhibit on Sunday, AFAS will also host an invitation-only reception sponsored by the Lincoln Motor Company on Saturday, August 20. This event has become a popular destination for celebrities and industry leaders to preview the latest AFAS pieces.
Created in 1983 by six artists the society made its first appearance as a group at the 1986 Pebble Beach Concours dโ Elegance. Still very much involved with the event, AFAS is comprised of more than 25 members who demonstrate talent, innovation and a passion for automobiles.
