A bold reinterpretation of Bentley heritage meets modern craftsmanship in a one-off Continental GTC Speed finished in the historic “Violette” tone.
Bentley Motors has resurrected a forgotten gem from its rich color archives, bringing back the stunning blue-purple shade of ‘Violette’ for a newly commissioned Continental GTC Speed. The bespoke creation, developed in close collaboration with a UK-based client, showcases the pinnacle of Bentley’s Mulliner co-creation program — where individuality, heritage, and modern craftsmanship converge.
The client, a long-standing Bentley enthusiast, deliberately sought a departure from subtle tones in favor of a color that commands attention. The result is a breathtaking GTC Speed finished in Violette, accentuated by Gloss Black exterior detailing and Gloss Black Bentley badges. A seven-layer canvas roof, finished in a dark grey metallic weave, completes the car’s contemporary aesthetic.
This revival was made possible through Bentley’s Paint Shop, where the marque can recreate any hue from its extensive historical archive — either from master samples or directly from vintage models. Alongside ‘Violette,’ Bentley has recently revived classics such as Sage Green (1950s), Shell Grey (1960s), and Rubino Red (2000s), reinforcing its commitment to preserving its chromatic heritage.
This striking commission represents more than just color choice — it embodies a growing trend among Bentley’s clientele toward personalization and individuality. Over 70 percent of customers now specify at least one Mulliner feature, a testament to the increasing demand for bespoke luxury.
The owner of this particular GTC Speed is no stranger to bold expression. His collection already includes multiple Bentaygas, one finished in Magenta, and a Continental GT in Scarab Green. His passion for the brand even extends to Bentley’s storied racing history, having recently experienced the Speed Six Continuation Series firsthand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed — a modern homage to one of Bentley’s most iconic race cars.
Inside, the GTC Speed’s cabin mirrors the exterior’s boldness with a bespoke Tanzanite Purple hide dominating the interior. The hue extends across the center console, 3D leather door panels, steering wheel, and seat backs, while Linen hide provides contrast and lightness. Lilac accents — subtly threaded through the stitching, gear lever, and steering wheel marker — add depth and visual rhythm to the interior.
The interior’s artistry reaches new heights with Stone Veneer finishes — ultra-thin, hand-crafted stone panels just 0.1mm thick. Available in shades such as Autumn, Copper, Galaxy, and Terra Red, this cutting-edge material merges 200-million-year-old natural stone with contemporary technology to create a uniquely tactile, organic surface.
Every inch of the cabin demonstrates the skill of Bentley’s Master Trainers and craftspeople, whose meticulous work ensures each detail meets the marque’s unparalleled standards of quality and luxury.
Complementing the exquisite craftsmanship are Bentley’s hallmark modern luxuries: the Rotating Display, the Naim for Bentley audio system, and the Dark Chrome Interior Specification — first introduced on the fourth-generation Continental GT. Together, they encapsulate the perfect balance of performance, innovation, and bespoke artistry.
The Violette Continental GTC Speed is more than a car — it’s a statement of identity. Through Bentley’s Mulliner division, color, craftsmanship, and technology unite to transform personal vision into reality. In resurrecting ‘Violette,’ Bentley not only celebrates its past but also redefines what bespoke luxury means in the modern age.
