Car Of The Day: 2011 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport L’Or Blanc

Bugatti partnered with Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM) to create a unique version of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport called “L’Or Blanc.” This car is the first motor car to wear porcelain on its body and cabin.

The car features an abstract exterior design with blue lines flowing over its white exterior. The design team at Bugatti used a special tape made of Japanese soft tissue to create the lines on the car’s body. Bugatti’s paint specialists then filled each millimeter of the marked lines with blue color by hand, resulting in a varying and powerful gradient of blue and white.

The porcelain elements, made by KPM, were extensively examined for automotive safety and quality before they were applied to the car. The car’s exterior and interior features porcelain elements that fit seamlessly to the Bugatti components.
