Spice

Spice Engineering, a British motorsport team and constructor, gained prominence in the 1980s and 1990s for their innovative and competitive sports prototype cars. Founded by racing driver Gordon Spice in 1984, the company initially focused on producing chassis for Group C and Group C2 racing, categories known for their endurance racing challenges. Spice Engineering’s cars, such as the SE88C and the SE89C, were renowned for their aerodynamic efficiency, reliability, and performance, achieving numerous victories and championships in events like the World Sportscar Championship and the IMSA GT Championship. Their success on the track was characterized by meticulous engineering and a keen understanding of the demands of endurance racing. Though the team eventually disbanded in the mid-1990s, Spice Engineering’s legacy endures, remembered for their significant contributions to sports car racing and their impact on the development of competitive racing technologies.
