Ed PinkWere you to go looking for Ed Pink tomorrow, youโ€™d likely find him at his latest shop, Ed Pinkโ€™s Garage, just off U.S. 101 out in the West San Fernando Valley. There, aided by his old buddy Bob Brandt, heโ€™s available to provide โ€œtechnical expertise and services to automotive enthusiasts with unique projects.โ€ Ed began building engines in high school and has yet to stop. In between stretches a career worthy of induction by six Halls of Fame, beginning with legendary accomplishments in drag racing, an Indy 500 triumph(maybe only Indy 500), success in IMSAโ€™s landmark GTP category, and innumerable race wins and season championships in USAC midget and Silver Crown competition, as well as maximizing the resources available to develop Infinitiโ€™s fledgling IRL program. VR Associate editor John Zimmermann drove up to Edโ€™s new place to talk to the Old Master about the life heโ€™s lived.

[pullquote]”I think the thing thatโ€™s kept me in this business for 50 years is the fact that Iโ€™ve done so many different projects, and each project has been a new day every day of its life.”[/pullquote]
