The 11th annual Amelia Island Concours dโElegance was held on March 10โ12, and again featured a wide variety of racing history including a working recreation of the Stanley Steamer that Fred Marriott drove to a Land Speed Record in 1906, an impressive collection of racing Jaguars, as well as various racecars from the storied career of the eventโs honoree, Indy racing legend Johnny Rutherford.
But, of the dozens of significant racing machines taking part in this yearโs event, Peter Sachsโs 1961 Ferrari 250 TRI/61rose above the rest, in the judgeโs eyes, and was awarded the prestigious โRitz-Carlton, Best in Show, Concours de Sportโ prize for the best racing car.
