FOR SALE: 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss

One of only four examples finished in Designo Mystic White

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss is the most extreme version of the SLR series. Inspired by the 1950s 300 SLR race car, it features a radical barchetta design with no roof, windshield, or side windowsโ€”only small wind deflectors for minimal protection.

Weighing 200 kg less than the standard SLR at 1,620 kg, itโ€™s powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 producing 650 hp, allowing 0โ€“100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a 354 km/h top speed. It honors Sir Stirling Mossโ€™s 1955 Mille Miglia triumph with distinctive styling, widened by 7 mm, sharper steering, and firmer suspension.

Only 75 units were built from June to December 2009 and most were finished in Crystal Laurite Silver Metallic with a Silver Arrow 300 SL Red leather interior, a tribute to the 1955 300 SLR driven by Stirling Moss, whose silver body and red racing numbers inspired the color scheme.

A few were painted in rare finishes, including just four in Designo Mystic Whiteโ€”like this 2010 example offered by RM Sothebyโ€™s. This 2010 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss was built to European specifications for delivery to Germany and has had only two registered owners.

Driven fewer than 60 kilometers, it remains in virtually new condition. It comes with its original accessories: two leather driving helmets, two Oakley SLR Stirling Moss goggles, protective cases for both tonneau covers, a cover for the wind deflector, and a silver-painted blank deflector panel.
