L.A. Debut for Classic Jaguar XKSS

Jaguar Classic has announced that the continuation Jaguar XKSS will make its world debut at this fallโ€™s Los Angeles Auto Show, scheduled for November 18-27 at the L.A. Convention Center. Production of the ultra-exclusive continuation car has been limited to just nine examples, hand-crafted by Jaguar Classicโ€™s expert technicians and manufactured to the exact same specification as the cars originally produced in 1957.

Often referred to as the worldโ€™s first supercar, the XKSS was originally built by Jaguar as a road-going version of its Le Mans-winning D-Type, with the cars built in 1957 originally earmarked for export to the U.S., but disaster struck and a number were lost to the fabled Browns Lane fire that same year. Now, 59 years later, Jaguar is building the nine โ€œlostโ€ XKSS sports cars, all of which have already been pre-sold to a select group of established collectors and customers, with first deliveries planned for early next year.
