Russo & Steele Monterey (2016) – Auction Results

Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auctions have announced the final sales results from their Fishermanโ€™s Wharf Monterey Auction where a 51 percent sell-through rate yielded nearly $11 million in total sales, a figure exceeding 2015โ€™s numbers.

Leading the way was a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupe that gaveled for $1,050,105, with the second-highest price being the $836,000 paid for a 2004 Ford GT Prototype. Third-best seller was a 1993 Jaguar XJ220 (above) with an odometer reading of just 871 kilometers that sold for $435,000.

โ€œWe really have to point to the support of our wonderful bidders, consignors and attendees,โ€ said Russo and Steele CEO Drew Alcazar, โ€œand say thanks for what was Russo and Steeleโ€™s most successful auction season to date. We canโ€™t wait to do it again in 2017!โ€

Russo and Steele will open its 2017 auction season with its flagship event next January 18-22 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
