Local ordinance laws in Lakeville, Connecticut prevent racing at Lime Rock Park on Sunday, therefore Lime Rock fields a traditional car show each year on that day as part of the Vintage Festival. A record 722 cars entered this year’s event, with the diverse show field including everything from classic cars from the early 1900s to late models of every kind.
The judges and the fans in attendance were both impressed with the quality of the entrants, culminating in the โBest in Showโ winner, a 1934 Packard Dual-Cowl V12 Sport Phaeton owned by George Dragone. This California car was in its original multi-hued green livery, the beauty of which also inspired its being chosen the winner of the โLadies Choiceโ award.
