Ultra-Rare 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT Heads to Monterey

1 of just 80 ever built

A rare and extreme iteration of Lamborghiniโ€™s famed V12 supercar, this 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT is number 67 of just 80 produced. It will be offered by RM Sothebyโ€™s at their Monterey auction on August 15โ€“16, with an estimated value of $1,300,000 to $1,600,000.

Built as a road-legal, track-focused version of the Diablo, the GT featured dramatic styling revisionsโ€”including a racing-style front air dam, wide OZ wheels, flared fenders, roof-mounted air intake, carbon fiber rear wing, and race-developed rear diffuser. Extensive carbon fiber panels and a stripped-down cabin, featuring racing seats, helped reduce the weight by over 260 pounds compared to the original Diablo.

Powered by a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 575 horsepower, the GT delivered 0โ€“60 mph in 3.9 seconds and topped out at 210 mph. This particular example was originally delivered to Touring Auto in Milan and is finished in striking Arancio Atlas over an orange and black leather interior. It underwent a complete engine rebuild by Lamborghini St. Gallen in 2017 and, most recently, received annual servicing in 2024, which included fluid changes and system repairs.

With only around 3,000 Diablos produced in total, the GTโ€™s limited run makes it one of the rarest and most sought-after Lamborghini models. Showing just over 63,000 kilometers (~39,500 miles), this Diablo GT represents a compelling opportunity for collectors seeking one of the most hardcore V12 Lamborghinis of the analog era.
