Youthful Ignorance

It seems strange to me that Iโ€™ve become an Alfa enthusiast, as I apparently have come to the party relatively late in my automotive life.

As a kid, I was certainly crazy for Italian cars, Ferraris in particular, of course. They were fast and loud, low slung, sleek and sexy. By comparison, Alfas to my immature eyes seemedโ€ฆwellโ€ฆkind of commonplace. I can remember looking at the Giulietta and scratching my head as to why it seemed to have such a high ride height! This was an Italian car after all, wasnโ€™t it supposed to be low and sleek? In those days, Giuliettas were virtually commonplace in Southern California. I saw them seemingly everywhereโ€”nice ones, shabby ones, daily drivers, you name it.
