are we talking sierra sapphire cossie or the early 3 door sierra cossie or the escort cossie in the case of the first two quite possibly but i think you're dreaming about the escort just standard the escort cossie is over a second faster 0-60 and faster at top speed and thats without going down the road of tuning cosworth engines will be going long after the calibra lumb has blown up stick a six speed in a cossie and then see who's better

  4. Re: cozzie killer

For your info, mine is a almost standard 93 Caly turbo, does 280 speedo, that is 265 real speed, 5,5s o-60mph. Well tunned caly turbos can go even to 400hp without changing the engine. Sierras, Escort, well i have beeten the crap out of them, great car for magazines tought. The Calibra is a car that doest compromise speed, performace, security or even confort.

you probably havent raced john reylands escort cossie then, it would maul your calibra and spit it out. from his cosworth engine, (the one from the showroom) hes pulling over 500bhp and i do believe he hit 100mph in around of 7secs, that is fast and yes it is an official record with the data to prove it. then there is my friend james with variable boost in every gear in a 2wd saph which was dynoed at 550bhp (and of course the standard lump). so please check ure info before looking like a cock it takes very few mods to reach 370bhp in a cossie and the engine will take it.

tHIS CAR IS SH1TE COMPARED TO COSSIES. COSSIES ARE THE BEST CARS EVER BUILT. THEY SHOULD STILL MAKE THEM.

  7. Re: cozzie killer

LOL nothing you say. The cozzie is for dwarfs and has no aerodynamics. So at top speed the calibra turbo is much faster. Also calibra owners dont need to show off speed with spoilers bigger then a dinner table. It looks like crap.

  8. Re: cozzie killer

a friend of mine has a blue F reg 2wd Cossie with numerous mods and hes pullin 402bhp, but hes now having his engine rebuilt with a garret T7 turbo instead of the lowly T4 he has on at the moment. i guess 165mph isnt enough for him, but the points you make is that with enough tuning you can always get a caly quicker, then tune the cossie and that will go quicker, bolox to the both of them, buy a lotus carlton and change both the turbos for T6's and top 200mph!

  9. Re: cozzie killer

where i come from (Norway) cossies are very poular to tune, just look at these!!! The silver one is the famus (in Norway) Ruud Racing!
the ruud racing cossie has 710 HP!!!

That reyland escort is a race car? Thats like saying put an escort cosworth against the calibra touring car ;o) I prefer calibras but a cosworth would probly win in a race, would be a good race tho!

M8, you talk senseless, i am talking about stock cars, not modded, mine is stock, with minor body work, and i kill cossies, etc

Oh! Calibra still has the record of best aerodynamic of 0,26, your cossie needs a "table" on the trunk to hold it self on the road!

cozzies are sh1te,at the end of the day mate its a ford sierra, they were cool about the same time as cortinas and capris.Find a good one and its still a sh1tty b reg effort thats been round the clock 3 times. And dont think i dont know what im talking about,my mates got a rs500 running at 400 brake, its broke again after having the engine rebuilt, whats the point having a car thats broke for 11 mounths of the year?.My cally turbo,s running phase 3,and i havent had any problems with it at all.

  14. Calibras are very popular in my country.Every nimrod with a light wallet and who thinks he`s a STREETRACER just because he`s watched 2F2F or whatever and he can keep the car on the road at 100kph gets one.
