Congrats BaRRa! The season was awesome, and so is my time in Moscow right now
I'll give a big, BIG high five to the ENGINEER for making this Guessing Game possible and also a big thanks to do the compilation of points. He didn't post in 10+ races this year and kept up the results to date. He could have easily say "Screw this, I'm done!" but he didn't.
From all the members that played, we say thank you sir. <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/smile.gif"></A>
Looks like a half assed farewell, lol
What do you mean they never got close enough? Massa was in a direct battle with Vettel on more than one occasion. They could have easily asked him to crash into him if they wanted to - but no, they raced fair.
Anyways, congrats to Vettel on the championship, he's had a pretty amazing second half to the year. And could i just say, this has truly been one of the best world championships EVER. And to top it off like it was done in Brazil was just epic. So many great races this year.
COMISERATIONS to Lewis Hamilton, IMO the deserving World Drivers Champion for this year. How many times is that now that he's been knocked out of the lead or a podium by another driver, team error or unreliability? I'm counting 4 times, maybe 5. Unluckiest man of 2012 without a doubt, despite driving superbly all year.
It's up to Mercedes to give him a good car, now. I can't help but think it's likely to not work out.
you need to play this game next year ok
Hopefully for Lewis' sake he attracts some key personnel to the team to give them more of a fighting chance.
you'd think Schumacher of all people would have been able to do that.
edit: and Ross Brawn
ya I should really
what do you guys think?
i think you should delete the extraneous "s" in your link
The guy in the video claims no one noticed yet the sky f1 guys were discussing it during the race. Pretty minor infraction. Could have been difficult to see. KR was driving all Over the place at one point.
Cant watch vids, but if its more lame attempts to prove a "under yellow" pass. they have all been disproven.
The full video is here:
The pass shown in DRANO's clip is not the one that was shown on Sky.
The full video I linked to shows 2 passes thought to be made under yellow that were actually legal, but a third pass that was in fact illegal.
Like Alphonse said though, I guess it was minor and hard to notice.
Incorrect on the vergne pass. There is proof that the marshal in the post directly after turn 3, by the pit exit, is in fact waving a green flag. The on dash display corresponds with the digital flickering lights, but since the Track marshall put out a green flag, that is negated. The pass was completed under green flag conditions.
Earlier in the same lap, the same marshall can be seen waving a Yellow Flag, but before vettel and vergne arrive, the flag is a waving green flag.
One of those words I don't think I ever used
every day's a school day <A BORDER="0" HREF="http://www.supercars.net/PitLane?displayFAQ=y"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="pitlane/emoticons/PnutSpecial.gif"></A>
When he moved to Ferrari, yes clearly, and he did so. But everyone knew when he came back to the sport a few years ago he was already past his best.
With Lewis, he's a genuine top-3 in the WDC.
That certainly seems pretty convincing that the pass was illegal.
For all Vettel's speed I have some serious questions on his racing under pressure. 2 races in a row now when under pressure he's failed to keep his nose clean and on both times he was VERY lucky to get away with it, particularly in Brazil. Vettel's crash at the start of the race was all his own fault and I reckon that was a 1/100 chance that he wasnt more badly damaged from that heavy contact.
the crash at the start wasn't all his own fault.
This is lap 4, track marshall on left is waving an obvious green flag.
The pass was 100% legal.
As for the crash, Vettel had no way of ever knowing bruno was there, all he could see was Di Resta, bruno probably the same, until it was too late.
