i didn't say i didn't like this car, in fact i love the m3. i'm just biased cause i'm a die hard rotary fan.

Absolutely the M3. I have had my 02' M3 for almost 6 months now and have found it to be the most road capable car I have ever driven...and that is saying alot. The 0-60 times on this car have been grossly inflated. From what I have read from numerous sources indicate times around the mid 4's, and trust me...this vehicle is ABSOLUTELY capable of those times. I would be more than willing to bet that the RX-7 would be VERY hard pressed to keep up with this race ready, torquey beast. I know that we are all very religous to our vehicle alliances, but there is absolutely no contest in any performance or luxury category between these two...the BMW has it hands down. As for looks or aesthetics, well...that is a matter of opinion and I am very happy with my purchase. It still turns heads and inspires futile on road duels. I have yet to have had a friendly pace test where they see anything but ny trailing bumper...that included a souped WRK and even a 02' Z06 (although that was very close). There is no way the RX-7 would be any different off or on the track.

i'll take the RX-7, its rotary powered and so much better looking in my opinion
  5. Re: M3 vs RX 7

i'll take da m3 over da rx7, only b/c of da rx7s reliability problems
  6. Re: M3 vs RX 7

i have a friend that has a 03 e46 m3 and i drive a RX-7 FD and we have yet to run side by side, but strait line acceleration seems to be pretty close. i would really be suprised if i beat him ( not saying that it would be impossible ) but i think that my rx would give him a good run for his money. the m3 might come out on top but i think that it would have a hard time pulling away. it would be no ass kicking.
