  1. Everyone: list your car, any of mods on it, and where you live

    I'll start:

'94 pontiac formula firehawk. I did a few other things to it on my free time. I now dyno 654 HP at the rear wheels.

    K&N filter
    vortech supercharger
    brodix heads
    9" rear
    383 stroke
    cold air induction
    borla exhaust
    LT4 intake
    aluminum driveshaft
    racing flywheel
    hurst shifter
    bosch spark plugs
    bosch spark plug wiring
    bosch brakes

I also took out the backseats, replaced some heavy parts with aluminum and titanium parts, and took out anything that I felt didn't need to be in the car. I ended up about 200 lbs lighter. I still have stereo and heating. The t-tops provide cooling.

  2. and what kinda tranny are you using to hold that power?

I've had my car for half a year

    This year so far

    KYB suspension and lowering springs
    Mac Cold air
    Mac 2 1/2" H-pipe

    Advanced the timming
    Chrome ponies and tire

New Paint and tints and body work. Custom frame connectors
    New Sterio

    Next winter

302 block bored over (305 ci.)
TRW low compression forged pistons approx. 8.7:1 ratio
    ARP bolts/studs
Clevite bearings, Speed Pro Moly Rings
    DSS main cap girdle
    Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads
    Edelbrock Performer intake
BBK 65 mm Throttle Body and EGR Spacer
    Motorsport F303 cam
    Crane Double Roller Timing Chain
    Fel Pro Loc-Wire gaskets
    Motorsport SFI Approved Harmonic Balancer
    Injectors (nondecided)
and drive line to a 3.73
    Motorsport HD radiator
    02 sensor readouts etc

  4. I was never really into nitrous. I like to upgrade a car w/ out a surprize shot of power. I like whooping people w/ nitrous. I'm going to add a little more power to my car soon. I'm a better throttle body and a new aftercooler for the supercharger. est'd 15-20 HP more. Not much, but good enough for me.

BADASSAMERICANCARS, I like your car. If I could give an LT1 654 HP without nitrous, think of what you can do w/ the LS1.

  5. Allright, Formula, I'm a sucker for a muscle car, and you'll allways be better than a rice burner in my book.

My baby (my other cars you'll have to ask, but they ain't nothin' to brag about):

    1966 Ford Mustang Coupe

351 Cleveland motor with a 4140 Forged Steel crank, TRW forged rods and Speed Pro hyperuetectic pistons (stroked to 392 cubic inches in all), all ARP studs, moly rings (special CAlMustang bearings)

Victor Jr Heads, 2.11 Intake, 1.73 Exaust, tripple titanium Crane valve springs, port/polished, blueprinted, 1.7:1 rocker ratio; Comp aluminum roller rockers, Crower Cam (238 In/Ex, lift 0.556), Pete Jackson gearbox

Torker Manifold, Holly double pumper 830 cfm Carb (allthough I like Edelbrock's better), Holley Blue pump (140 gph max, 8 psi), MSD 7AL race ignition, Accel 8mm wires, MSD Blaster 2 Coil, MSD Billet distributor

2800 RPM Stall on a tricked C-4 tranny with an extra-low 1st gear (bought it that way), Ford 9" 3.73 Posi

16" Torquethrust II Wheels, 255/50R16 by 235/45R16 BF Goodrich rubber, Pioneer 4100-series deck, 2 6.5" Pioneer tripple-voice coil speaker off head unit, 2 6x9" XPlod 180-watt speakers off 200 watt Jensen amp (not bridged), 2 10" R/F Subs (560 Watts) off Sony 600-watt Amp (bridged), SuperComp 5" tach w/ shiftlite set at 3 grand (I shift at 6800, but who needs a shift light?)

Corvette exaust (vintage 1966 side runners, you'd like it), racing seats, 4-point harness

Ran a best of 12.36 @ 111.8 MPH at Seattle International Speedway, dynoed at 438.6 HP and 486.4 ft/lbs at flexplate. I live in Tri-Cities, WA; go cruising down Clearwater any weekend, you'll see me and Rich and Chris. Come get some, suckers.

    You should see Rich's shit...

  6. Here is the answer to FORDBOY's question: I forgot to list my tranny. I have a six speed hurst w/ A titanium clutch.<!-- Signature -->

  7. Hurst tranny or shifter?

I forgot my titanium valve seats and Manley titanium valves, I think. Oh, and the carpet is from Luke's carpet, cut it myself.

  8. I have a hurst tranny and shifter. Cost me an arm and a leg, but was worth it. <!-- Signature -->

  16. One of my most beloved cars is my '78 malibu. Has a 454 w/ 938 HP dyno'd at rear wheels. I have titanium forged pistons, hydraulic camshaft, and many other things (too many to list). My most valuable upgrade is a supercharger. I built the whole engine from a bare block.<!-- Signature -->

An lt4 can't get nearly as much power as an LS1 is capable of when supertuning. The only reason I like the LT motor is because it has a higher torqe ratio when upgraded. I suggest you should just stick w/ the LS1 engine. Go on http://www.slponline.com/ and look for the 382 displacement upgrade for LS1. It costs $10,500, but is worth it. It will dramatically increase your overall power and give your car a higher torqe ratio. You can give your car over 1,000 HP when you upgrade the engine w/ superchargers and sh*t after increasing the displacement like that.

In my opinion, I think you should stick w/ the LS1.

I like your camaro. LS1 kicks ass.

  20. By the way, did you see my corvette yet?

    I sold my blazer and my WS6. Then I put a downpayment on a '97 LS1 vette.

I will NEVER get rid of my firehawk. It took a very long time to get it tuned the way it is.

I'm not going to put too many things on my vette, instead, I'm going to keep working on my malibu and my firehwak until they are perfect.

I have my vette to cool down after racing in my firehawk.

Yeah, keep the LS1, it took me a displacement increase to get most of my power. You still have a 350 displacement and have almost as much power as I do. That's impressive.

  21. By the way, how do you put smilies after a commment?
I'm not interested, I just wanted to know how, because I don't see how.<!-- Signature -->
