Good. My signature still stands correct, only 178 mph for the Tuscan. Looks like I'll have to take this over to deuginthesky. Thanks.

See? Power/Weight ratio is not a factor in top speed. It might affect it a little, but not my much.

It didn't Top out if you read it, they said it was still pulling hard, Top Gear Tested it in their june issue and cracked 190 in it.

  2. Quote from the article :

"When it came to top end the Tuscans speedo lied, its needle sweeping clean off the 200Mph dial. The True maximum was 178mph, at which point on a damp track the nose began to wander despite the engine still pulling hard."

  3. Oh and what about the 11.4 1/4 mile?? pretty nice eh?

  4. With only 390 horsepower, I doubt it breaking 190.

That 11.4 1/4 mile is mad quick. Amazing.

Well we'll see i'm pretty sure it will, i hope these articles have shown you just how fast TVR's are.

Ok you never believed me about how fast the Cerbera was and its never matched its factory claims etc etc, And that it doesn't Handle,

    Look at this.

  10. Remember, I am not the only one doubting it.

Did they test it themselves? Funny how they have the exact numbers as TVR's website, and are so much better times than all of the other mags who tested it. Strange, I don't know.

  11. It would say Manufactor's Fiquires if they hadn't tested it themselves.

Have a look at the 30 - 70 time. Mad!

  12. Yes, that's a stomping peformance. But notice that the date on this mag is only 1 month after the July tests of the Cerbera 4.5 done by Autocar and TopGear. Both of those were preproduction units. Meaning, this is also quite likely a preproduction unit as well.

  13. Of course, if you can find yet another test matching these numbers, then the numbers are legit. Remember, MT got a 3.9-second 0-60 out of the 360 Modena. And *only* MT...meaning I've seen it nowhere else. Most tests are in the 4.2-4.3 range.

  14. Yes ok I will look, But you can have the same car and one day it would do a 3.9 another it might do a 4.5 second run.

Depends on a lot of things, like the thicker the air is the more power an engine makes etc etc.

  15. And another possibility is that the Auto Express specimen was running a hotted-up engine. According to cerbman, the yellow Auto Express car and the red Autocar Cerbie (with "dodgy piston rings") are one and the same.

  16. Actually, you can disregard that last one. I think I've got cerbman's comment all mixed up.

  17. Guibo-Cerbman just said they were diff cars

And yes conditions play a major part in the times.

Take Autocars test of the Noble M12

    They achieved 0-60mph in 3.9secs and 0-100mph in 9.4sec

yet when they used it for the 0-100-0mph shootout they only managed 0-60mph in 4.13secs and 0-100mph in 9.81secs and they said they conditions could have been better.

And also you've many tests of the 4.5 running 4.1secs etc.......that's 0.2 difference.......do you actually know how little that is and feels?.....with a good start it's not hard to improve on a figure like that!

  18. Actually, the difference is .4, as both TopGear's and Autocar's 4.5 did 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. But point well taken, conditions do affect the results.

  19. Yep, must have been spot on for AutoExpress.

0-100 in 8.1 and 30-70 in 2.9 secs is stupidly fast though, and for £46K its insane!

  20. Makes me wonder why they gave it an overall score of only 4 stars out of 5.

  22. Oh and heres another one for SVS, take a look at what the Tuscan S can do.

  23. 11.4 second 1/4 mile and 30 - 70 time of 2.7 secs, not to shabby eh?
