Ultimate SLK?

  1. I wouldn't say so. I'd rather have the Renntech SLK 3.8 for the gearbox if nothing else. Once the supercharger from this the AMG is fitted to the 3.8 though, the performance gap between these two cars will vanish.<!-- Signature -->

hmmmm, well its easy to get a super powerfull car...but the AMG is a very fast car for a stock car <IMG SRC="http://www.supercars.net/servlets/cMsg/html/emoticons/smile.gif"><!-- Signature -->

true that....i'm all bout the stockness of cars......dont go and mess it up with mods and junk

  4. Re: Ultimate SLK?

especailly on the already fast stock cars...
like modfying a lamborghini or ferrari is just wrong IMO

If you'd put a supercharger in it this thing will fly off! only joking but it would be kinda scary to drive such a small car with an even bigger engine & a supercharger.

It is supercharged, running around 0.700BAR of boost.
Cranking up the boost to 1.2BAR (that's the maximum boost the IHI Lindström Supercharger can run, at least that is what I’ve read) would be very interesting.
Add the new 7-speed Mercedes gearbox and some racing suspension and you'd have a seriously fast track-car here.

AMG does not only try to make MB fast. AMG also want to see the cars still alive after 5-10 years on the street. That's why they never go too far on a MB engine. MB won't allow that either.

Renntech is a great MB tunner also but I am not sure if it is reliable.
