Yeah, that is just speculation though, not actual confirmation. That article was published immediately after he died, before any autopsy results. Im just wondering why they appear to be withheld. He died pretty young.
He was told pilot jackets and glasses were no longer produced. I liked his earlier books when I was younger.

The Hunt for Red October was a pretty sweet book. The premise of the book was a bit gay, fake, too USA#1... but the way he narrated the battle scenes and the sub's nuclear meltdown was pretty badass. And I liked the movies Patriot Games and The Fugitive (those were both Tom Clancy, right?).
No, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, Sum of All Fears, Hunt for the Red October. Not high literature, but good reads, and great premises for big action movies.
Those movies sucked when they started using ben affleck instead of harrison ford and morgan freeman instead of james earl jones
I think despite doing poorly at the box office, Sum of All Fears was a good movie. Remember, Harrison Ford replaced Alec Baldwin.
Brr, it was terribad. I have only read "Red storm rising" and "The bear and the dragon". Worst books ever.
Most likely: Family witheld it for reasons of privacy. Slightly less likely: Family witheld it for reasons of privacy, because it was something embarrassing, like drug abuse or carradinery. Unlikely: The reason has been witheld as there is the implication of foul play, and they're waiting to gather more evidence or for someone to #$%# up or something. Super unlikely, but rad: He was assassinated for getting too close to some military reality, and he had the platform on which to release what he knew to a wide audience.
