2000 Lotus M250 Concept

Lotus revealed an all-new mini-supercar concept. It was conceived as a model to fit in the Lotus lineup between the Elise and Esprit. Called Project M250, the car had a 250hp, 3 litre V6 engine that was mid-mounted. Unfortunately the Lotus M250 never actually reached production.

The original idea for the M250 was to give the car ‘creature comforts’ such as air-conditioning, central locking and electric windows – which Lotus usually omit from their products in order to lower weight.

As it turned out the M250 project was shelved when Lotus decided that the car was not fit for the world market.
