2014 Ferrari 458 Challenge Evoluzione

After running the 458 Challenge cars for three years Ferrari updated the model to Challenge Evoluzione-spec for 2014.

The Evoluzione is a mandatory kit for 2014 that replaces both the front and rear fascias with more aggressive counterparts that are similar to the 458 GT3. Included is a substantial rear wing that has a multitude of adjustment points.

The kit was developed with the help of Andrea Bertolini and Marc Gene and was first revealed by them at the 2013 Ferrari Finali Mondiali at Mugello where many drivers got their first look and test drive of the new model.

All three series, the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America will run the new model.

2014 Ferrari 458 Challenge Evoluzione

2013 Ferrari 458 Challenge Evoluzione ZFF71NXX000195266 – This specific 2013 example, finished in Nero, was delivered to its first and current owner in the summer of 2013. It was used for just two half-day sessions with the Ferrari Club of America at Watkins Glen and two four-hour “shake-down” sessions over the course of two days at Daytona International Speedway in January 2014. In early May 2014, the Evo kit was installed, making this 458 eligible for the upcoming Challenge seasons. Since its upgrade to Evoluzione specifications, this car has yet to be driven and is essentially in as-new condition. The car comes complete with all the requisite accessories to compete in future Challenge events and includes a set of magnesium wheels with racing slicks, as well as onboard cameras and computers, which are necessary to record race telemetry. Auction Source: RM Sotheby’s Monterey 2015
