Did you know that you can actually make an appointment to visit the official Museo Lamborghini right next to the factory of Automobili Lamborghini Spa in Sant’Agata, Italy? And it gets even better, because you can even get a guided visit of the museum, where a guide will tell you all about the magnificent masterpieces that are on display it the factory museum … and to take your visit to an even higher level, there is the option of a guided factory tour … it just doesn’t get any better than that.
But there is a caveat when you register for a factory visit … you are not allowed to take any photographs inside the factory. Making snapshots inside the museum for your personal collection is fine, but before you enter the factory floor, you’ll have to store away any photographic gear in a locker, so no cameras or cellphones are allowed inside the factory itself, which is why most of us usually only see official press photos of the production lines at Sant’Agata.
Which does make sense of course, for one there are customer cars being built right before your eyes, cars that their prospective owners haven’t seen yet, and make no mistake, sometimes you can catch a glimpse of an upcoming model that hasn’t been unveiled yet, so leaking a photo of that one would be terrible for a company like Automobili Lamborghini SpA, hence, no photos allowed … unless you are invited by the factory and are given a license to take photos and video during your visit, which is exaclty what Tim, aka Shmee150 was allowed to do recently.
During his visit, he was given a genuine Lamborghini Produzione vest, and he even had to work on an actual armrest for the Lamborghini Revuelto/Temerario (yes, the armrest is the same in both models) inside the factory’s saddlery, or Selleria. After that, he looks at the Lamborghini Revuelto line, with the many possible colors lining up, taking a look at how the Revuelto carbon fiber tub is the first step. Next stop is the engine workshop, where he works on assembling the V8 for the Lamborghini Urus.
The video above is about 45 minutes long, but it gives us such an amazing view of what goes on behind the scenes at the Automobili Lamborghini SpA factory, seen through the eyes of a visitor, something we rarely get to see, especially having hands on with different sections of the famous Sant’Agata factory … I for one loved viewing this video.
