McLaren Automotive will honour the 2025 Festival of Speed theme, “Champions and Challengers,” by showcasing both its roadโcar milestones and racing triumphs.
At the heart of โMcLaren Houseโ will be the new McLarenโฏW1, making its public debut. Limited to just 399 unitsโall already spoken forโthe W1 blends authentic supercar theatre with raw driver engagement. Power comes from a brandโnew 1,275โฏPS rearโdrive V8 hybrid, augmented by active aerodynamics inspired by Formulaโฏ1 groundโeffect principles. The W1 becomes the third entry in McLarenโs distinctive โ1โseries,โ lining up alongside the iconic F1 and P1โข to underline three eras of McLaren innovation, each car sharing DNA yet telling its own story.
Goodwood also provides the backdrop for a 30โyear celebration of McLarenโs landmark 1995 LeโฏMans victory. The raceโwinning F1โฏGTR #59โfresh from the “McLaren: A Name for Eternity” exhibition at the LeโฏMans Museumโwill tackle the famous hill, driven by its original winner JJโฏLehto.
A modern tribute arrives in the form of the 750SโฏLeโฏMans. Revealed in June and capped at 50 examples, this specialโedition supercar wears a new MSO High Downforce Kit for extra grip and lapโtime zeal, echoing the legendary F1โฏLM that commemorated McLarenโs 1995 triumph.
For the third consecutive year, the trackโonly SolusโฏGT will deliver earโsplitting theatre at Goodwood. The singleโseat hyperโGT packs an 840โฏPS 5.2โlitre V10 and tips the scales below 1,000โฏkg. After winning the 2023 Timed Shootout and thrilling crowds again in 2024โwhen MikaโฏHรคkkinen drove a customer example resplendent in his 1998 MP4/13 coloursโthe SolusโฏGT returns in 2025 for more dynamic runs.
McLarenโs 750S and Artura โMCL38 Celebration Editionโ models will also storm the hill. Limited to nine units apiece, these cars carry an MSOโcurated livery in signature Papaya Orange and Anthracite, released to mark McLarenโs 2024 Formulaโฏ1 Constructorsโ Championship title.
Finally, 2025 celebrates a decade of McLarenโs adrenalineโcharged โLTโ lineage. The global โCelebrateโฏLTโ programme, launched in March, has united Longtail owners worldwide. Heritage LT models will appear in the Supercar Paddock and join the festivalโs dynamic demonstrations, cementing ten years of McLarenโs most extreme road cars. From groundbreaking debuts to historic icons, McLarenโs Goodwood lineโup promises a showcase worthy of this yearโs festival mantra: champions of the past, challengers of the future.
