Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ Set to Fetch $5.4M at Bonhams

Number six of the 30 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ produced

The Bugatti Chiron, named after Monégasque racing driver Louis Chiron, is powered by a reworked version of the brand’s legendary 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W-16 engine. Originating in the Veyron, where it produced just under 1,000 horsepower, the engine evolved over time until the Chiron debuted in 2016 with 1,500 horsepower—nearly 300 more than the most powerful Veyron.

In 2019, Bugatti pushed the limits further with the Chiron Super Sport 300+, a model developed after a prototype became the first road car to break the 300-mph barrier. In 2019, Bugatti pushed the limits further with the Chiron Super Sport 300+, a model developed after a prototype became the first road car to break the 300-mph barrier.

Following this achievement, Bugatti confirmed the production of just 30 Super Sport 300+ examples. The model featured a longer, aerodynamically optimized body designed for stability at extreme speeds. Innovations included front Air Curtains, wheel arch outlets, and a 25-centimeter “Longtail” rear that improved airflow and minimized drag. A large diffuser replaced a conventional spoiler, while lightweight carbon fiber construction and magnesium wheels reduced mass.

Of the 30 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ produced, only eight were delivered to the United States. This car, number six, was supplied new to Bugatti itself via O’Gara and has remained with its sole owner ever since. Driven sparingly, it shows under 840 miles and has received annual servicing through Bugatti Beverly Hills, verified by the dealer.

The Super Sport 300+ is regarded as one of Bugatti’s most striking creations, combining extraordinary performance with design steeped in the brand’s heritage. Its signature black carbon fiber body with vivid orange accents commands attention without excess, striking a perfect balance of power and elegance. The interior mirrors this ethos, with Beluga black trim, cross-hatched leather seats, orange highlights, Alcantara details, and flawless craftsmanship.

This is also the only second Chiron Super Sport 300+ to be offered publicly for sale via auction in the US and is expected to command up to $5,400,000 at Bonhams Cars’ upcoming Audrain Auction on October 3.
