FOR SALE: 2019 Koenigsegg Regera

Known as the “Elegua”

Bonhams Cars’ upcoming Miami Auction on May 3 will showcase a remarkable 2019 Koenigsegg Regera, nicknamed “Elegua,” expected to sell for between $2.3 million and $3 million. This 2019 Regera is an extensively customized example, boasting over $1,000,000 in optional features.

Among these are more than $170,000 in exterior upgrades, highlighted by a one-of-a-kind “One Shade Darker Candy Apple Red” finish with multiple exposed carbon fiber elements. Additional major options include the $285,000 Ghost Package, a $250,000 Environmental Power Upgrade, and $57,000 Tresex AirCore carbon fiber wheels.

The interior features over $70,000 in bespoke touches, such as Desiato Burgundy and black quilted leather along with extensive carbon fiber accents. It also came with a $175,000 extended 5-year warranty, which has since expired. A standout feature is Autoskin, enabling the doors, hood, and engine bay to open electronically via the key fob.

Introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and built from 2016 to 2022, the Koenigsegg Regera represents a major leap in automotive innovation, combining extreme performance with high-end luxury. Designed by Christian von Koenigsegg and developed in Sweden, it was envisioned as a hybrid hypercar that delivers both track-level speed and long-distance comfort.

The Regera features a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, producing a total of 1,500 bhp and 2,000 Nm of torque. Its unique Koenigsegg Direct Drive system replaces a traditional gearbox, improving efficiency and enabling remarkable acceleration—0–62 mph in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 255 mph.

Originally delivered through Manhattan Motorcars in May 2020 and named “Elegua,” after the deity associated with roads in various African spiritual traditions, this vehicle has covered fewer than 3,100 miles over six years. It has been consistently maintained, with the latest service completed at the end of February.
