Developed from the already formidable 488 GTB—which surpassed the output of the early-2000s Enzo—Ferrari 488 Pista distills Ferrari’s hard-earned racing knowledge from the 488 Challenge and 488 GTE into a road-legal weapon. Its name, taken from the Italian word for “track,” perfectly reflects a car shaped by competition and optimized for extreme performance.
At its core is a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 producing 711 bhp with virtually imperceptible turbo lag, launching the Pista from 0–62 mph in just 2.85 seconds. Extensive weight reduction and sophisticated aerodynamics—including the front S-duct, GTE-inspired rear diffuser, and fixed rear wing—generate 529 pounds of downforce by 124 mph, delivering exceptional stability and precision.
