VIDEO: Top Gear Explores the Zenvo Aurora Tur and Agil Hypercars

Zenvo Aurora signals a bold new era for Danish hypercar engineering

Zenvo is entering an ambitious new chapter with the Aurora, a ground-up hypercar that combines bespoke engineering with cutting-edge hybrid technology. As explored by Top Gear, the Danish manufacturer has developed two distinct versions of the Aurora: the road-focused Tur and the track-oriented Agil, each sharing a common carbon-composite architecture while delivering vastly different driving experiences. At the heart of both models is an all-new 6.6-liter quad-turbocharged V12 developed exclusively for Zenvo. The engine alone produces an extraordinary 1,250 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful production V12s ever created.

In the Tur, the combustion engine is complemented by three electric motors—one integrated into the Ricardo eight-speed transmission and two driving the front axle—resulting in a combined output of 1,850 horsepower and all-wheel drive with torque vectoring. Zenvo claims blistering performance figures, including 0-62 mph in just 2.3 seconds and a projected top speed of 260 mph.

While the Tur prioritizes grand touring refinement, the Agil adopts a more uncompromising philosophy. Eliminating the front electric motors reduces weight significantly, creating a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive machine focused on aerodynamic efficiency and circuit performance. Its aggressive bodywork generates substantial downforce, reinforced by exposed suspension elements, an active rear wing, and race-inspired aero channels that emphasize function over form.

Both cars are built around a carbon-composite monocoque with bespoke chassis, body panels, suspension, and drivetrain components. Zenvo’s Scandinavian design language favors clean, organic surfaces over excessive styling, producing a hypercar that feels elegant despite its extreme performance. The minimalist interior follows the same philosophy, replacing oversized touchscreens with physical controls and a rotating digital display, keeping the driver’s attention firmly on the road.

Beyond impressive specifications, the Aurora represents a complete reinvention of Zenvo‘s identity. Building on lessons learned from the ST1 and TSR models, the company has created a more sophisticated, technologically advanced platform capable of meeting modern emissions regulations while retaining the emotional appeal of a high-revving V12. With the Aurora Tur and Agil, Zenvo is positioning itself as a serious contender in the ultra-exclusive hypercar segment.
