2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta With 570 Miles Heads to Auction

One of 499 examples produced

A rare opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari’s most collectible naturally aspirated V-8 sports cars has emerged on RM Sotheby’s Sealed, where a 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta is offered with an estimated value of $2 million to $2.5 million. Representing one of just 499 examples produced worldwide, this open-top Speciale combines exceptionally low mileage, a distinctive factory specification, and an important place in Ferrari’s modern history.

Chassis number ZFF78VHA7F0208615 was completed in January 2015 and delivered new through Foreign Cars Italia in Greensboro, North Carolina, that spring. It is offered from The Rosso Collection and currently displays just 570 miles making it a virtually as-new example.

The exterior is finished in Rosso Corsa, complemented by a Nero Stellato metallic-black racing livery with white detailing inside the stripe. The combination gives the Speciale Aperta a purposeful appearance while preserving the traditional Ferrari red aesthetic.

The cabin features Nero Alcantara upholstery with Rosso stitching, red seat inserts, and a yellow tachometer. Extensive carbon-fiber trim extends across the dashboard, door panels, door sills, steering wheel, and transmission tunnel. Additional equipment includes red-painted brake calipers, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, a carbon-fiber rear diffuser, and a carbon-fiber front splitter.

Power comes from Ferrari’s 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V-8, producing 597 horsepower and delivering its peak output at 9,000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, providing rapid shifts while retaining the high-revving character that defines the 458 Speciale family.

The Aperta pairs this powertrain with an electrically operated retractable aluminum hardtop, allowing drivers to experience the engine’s distinctive exhaust note with the roof lowered. Its track-focused engineering includes sophisticated electronic control systems designed to improve agility and stability when driving near the limits of adhesion.

The model also holds historical significance as the final open-top evolution of the 458 Speciale and part of Ferrari’s concluding generation of naturally aspirated, mid-engined V-8 performance cars before the transition to turbocharging.

According to the accompanying Carfax report, the Ferrari remained registered in North Carolina until 2021, when it was imported into Canada. It returned to the United States in June 2025 and was subsequently registered in Florida.

In September 2025, at 547 miles, Ferrari of Palm Beach fitted four new Michelin tires, repaired sticky interior switches, and performed a two-year service that included an oil change and replacement of eight spark plugs. The car returned to the dealership in July 2026 for a new battery. Full-body paint protection film further helps preserve its exterior finish.
