Set to cross the block at RM Sotheby’s Monterey Auction on August 15, this 2024 Ferrari 812 Competizione A ‘Tailor Made’ is expected to achieve $2.5 million to $2.9 million. As one of only 599 examples produced worldwide and offered exclusively to Ferrari’s invitation-only VIP clientele, the open-top Competizione A is among the most desirable modern V-12 Ferraris ever built.
Introduced as the ultimate evolution of the 812 platform, the Competizione A marked the pinnacle of Ferrari’s naturally aspirated front-engine V-12 engineering. Beneath its sculpted bodywork lies a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V-12 producing 819 horsepower, making it Ferrari’s most powerful naturally aspirated road car at the time of launch. Revving to an astonishing 9,250 rpm, the engine delivers breathtaking performance, accelerating from 0–62 mph in just 2.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 211 mph.
Beyond outright speed, the Competizione A showcases Ferrari’s relentless pursuit of engineering excellence. Extensive use of carbon fiber, aggressive aerodynamic refinement, comprehensive chassis upgrades, and rear-wheel steering combine to deliver remarkable precision and responsiveness while reducing weight. The result is a limited-production grand tourer that celebrates the peak of naturally aspirated Ferrari performance before the brand’s increasing shift toward electrification.
This particular example, chassis 301363, is especially noteworthy thanks to Ferrari’s exclusive Tailor Made personalization program. Showing only 1,021 miles at cataloging, it was commissioned with more than $242,000 in factory options. The exterior is finished in striking Giallo Sirius triple-coat paint accented by a subtle Italian tricolor graphic, while an extensive carbon-fiber package enhances the hardtop, engine covers, diffuser, intake surrounds, side trim, and numerous additional exterior components. Carbon-fiber wheels, gloss-black brake calipers, and yellow-striped Pirelli tires complete the bespoke specification.
Inside, the cabin blends Nero Alcantara, Jeans Aunde Nero, and Cordura inserts to create a race-inspired environment with premium craftsmanship. Large racing seats, contrasting yellow stitching, embroidered Cavallino headrests, a passenger display, Apple CarPlay, adaptive headlights, front-lift system, front and rear parking cameras, and a premium audio system complement the bespoke interior. The car is further accompanied by matching Ferrari luggage and documented maintenance history, including servicing performed by Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in January 2026.
