FOR SALE: 2020 Ford GT Mk II Race Car #001

The first of just 45 Ford GT Mk IIs built

Currently listed on Bring a Trailer, chassis 001—the first of only 45 Ford GT Mk IIs—features a Blu Elettrico Viola finish with twin Shadow Chrome racing stripes and is equipped with an optional Sparco passenger seat.

Inspired by the Le Mans–winning GT40 Mk II, the Ford GT Mk II made its debut at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed as Ford’s most extreme track-only machine. Developed by Ford Performance in collaboration with Multimatic, it incorporates endurance racing technology without the constraints of racing regulations, unlocking its full performance potential.

Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 producing approximately 700 horsepower—surpassing both the road-going GT and race-spec variants—paired with a reinforced 7-speed dual-clutch transmission driving 19-inch wheels. Cooling is enhanced by a roof-mounted intake and a water-spray system, similar to those used in the Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

Aerodynamics are centered around a massive fixed rear wing, delivering up to 400% more downforce than the standard GT and enabling over 2g of lateral grip. Braking is handled by Brembo carbon-ceramic components. Inside, the stripped cabin includes a racing wheel, FIA-approved roll cage, fire system, and Sparco racing seats with harnesses, fully optimized for track use.

Chassis 001 made its track debut at Dubai Autodrome in February and March 2020, followed by a session at Silverstone Circuit in July 2020. Afterward, it received updates including new driveshaft assemblies with constant-velocity joints and boots, revised rear brake shrouds, and updated battery wiring.
