Few modern supercars embody Lamborghini’s uncompromising philosophy as completely as the Aventador. Introduced at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the marque’s flagship V-12 model combined dramatic styling, extreme performance, and cutting-edge engineering, remaining at the pinnacle of Lamborghini’s lineup until production concluded in 2022.
At launch, the Aventador was powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter L539 V-12 producing 691 horsepower, paired with all-wheel drive and Lamborghini’s signature seven-speed single-clutch automated transmission. Over its decade-long production run, the platform evolved through increasingly potent variants, including the Aventador S, SV, and SVJ. Its final chapter arrived in the form of the LP780-4 Ultimae, the ultimate expression of the Aventador formula and the most powerful version ever produced.
For the Ultimae, Lamborghini extracted an impressive 769 horsepower from the naturally aspirated V-12, representing a gain of 78 horsepower over the original model and 10 horsepower more than the track-focused SVJ. The result was staggering performance, with the car capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds despite retaining the brand’s distinctive single-clutch transmission.
Currently offered on Bring a Trailer, this 2022 Lamborghini Aventador LP780-4 Ultimae is one of approximately 350 coupes built to mark the end of Aventador production. Originally delivered through Newport Beach Automotive Group in Irvine, California, the car was specified in striking Blu Uranus paint accented by Bronzo details and paired with an Ad Personam interior finished in Blu Glauco leather and black Alcantara with gold highlights.Notably, the vehicle received a replacement 6.5-liter V-12 engine under warranty in August 2024 at approximately 6,000 miles.
Exterior highlights include Lamborghini’s Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva 2.0 active aerodynamic system, a carbon-fiber roof panel, carbon-fiber front spoiler, rear diffuser, side air splitters, and hood vents. Bronze-finished center-locking Leirion forged wheels measuring 20 inches up front and 21 inches at the rear are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires. The chassis is equipped with magnetic push-rod suspension, Electronic Stability Control, and a front-axle lift system, while carbon-ceramic brakes with black multi-piston calipers provide formidable stopping power.
Inside, carbon-fiber-backed heated and power-adjustable seats complement the bespoke Ad Personam cabin. Additional amenities include the Travel Package, navigation-equipped infotainment system, Sensonum premium audio, automatic climate control, parking sensors, garage-door integration, and illuminated Lamborghini door sills. Ahead of the driver sits a configurable TFT digital instrument cluster featuring a variable-redline tachometer, speed and fuel displays, along with oil temperature and pressure gauges, underscoring the Aventador Ultimae’s blend of exotic performance and modern technology.
