This 2024 Mercedes-AMG ONE represents one of the most ambitious attempts ever made to translate Formula 1 technology into a road-legal production car. Limited to just 275 examples worldwide, the AMG flagship combines an uncompromising hybrid powertrain with advanced aerodynamics and motorsport-derived engineering. This particular example is especially notable for its single-owner provenance, Swiss delivery in August 2024, and an exceptionally low 507 kilometres recorded at cataloguing.
At its core is a turbocharged 1.6-litre hybrid V-6 derived from the power unit used by Mercedes-AMG’s 2016 W07 Formula 1 car, the machine that carried Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg to the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships. Adapting such a highly specialized racing engine for everyday road use proved extraordinarily complex. AMG had to engineer the powertrain to start reliably at the push of a button, operate at emissions-compliant idle speeds, and function within the vastly different demands of road-car use. Development delays, compounded by the global pandemic and component shortages, meant that although the ONE was unveiled in 2017, production did not begin until 2022.
The resulting hypercar features five electric and combustion power sources, combining for 1,063 horsepower. Power is delivered through all-wheel drive and an Xtrac seven-speed transmission, enabling 0–100 km/h in approximately 2.9 seconds and a claimed top speed of 352 km/h. Its aerodynamic package incorporates active elements and an F1-inspired Drag Reduction System, while four deployable flaps positioned around the front wheel arches help manage turbulent airflow. In “Strat 2” maximum-performance mode, Maro Engel set a remarkable 6:29.090 Nürburgring Nordschleife lap, establishing the AMG ONE as a benchmark among production cars.
Finished in Black, this example echoes Mercedes-AMG’s 2020–2021 Formula 1 livery, accented by Petronas Green detailing and a red roof-scoop inlet. A prominent Silver Three-Pointed Star graphic stretches across the rear haunches, while gloss-black forged magnesium wheels feature Petronas Green surrounds and carbon-fibre aerodynamic covers. Inside, exposed carbon fibre is paired with Exclusive Nappa leather and Petronas Green seat-belt stitching.
Delivered to its sole Swiss owner and registered on 6 August 2024, the car was serviced by Mercedes-Benz Schlieren-Zürich in March 2025 at 91 km and again in February 2026 at 423 km. It comes with its Certificate of Conformity, owner’s manuals, charging cables, AMG earphones, harness tools, and a special-edition Xbox One controller.
Offered at RM Sotheby’s The Zurich Auction on 26 September, this extraordinarily low-mileage AMG ONE carries an estimated value of up to $3.1 million, presenting collectors with a rare opportunity to acquire one of the closest links ever created between Formula 1 and the road.
