Test Driving the Rimac Nevera R

Top Gear gets to drive the worldโ€™s fastest-accelerating road car

The Rimac Nevera R is the worldโ€™s fastest-accelerating road car. It rockets from 0โ€“60 mph in just 1.8 seconds, hits 125 mph in 4.3, and blasts to 186 mph quicker than a Koenigsegg or Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. This is made possible by an all-electric powertrain capable of producing 2,078 horsepower.

Based on the original Nevera, the R version is an improved grand tourer that offers more grip, enhanced feedback, and a sharper handling experience. The Nevera R receives an entirely new nose, a larger front splitter, and a massive rear wing, all of which contribute to increased downforce without sacrificing efficiency. It gains serious aerodynamic benefits thanks to new bodywork that generates 400 kg of downforceโ€”accomplished with Michelin Cup 2 tires, lighter brakes, and recalibrated torque vectoring, aiming to deliver sharper driving dynamics.

Top Gear was able to test drive a prototype of the Nevera R on their newest video on YouTube. It has been tested in brutal test conditions and crash simulations.
