if you didn't already know it is coming! check out http://www.motortrend.com/future/index.html then go to 2004 link at the bottom.

but if you're to lazy here's what they said:
2004 Dodge Charger: Overwhelming public support for the Dodge Charger concept car has persuaded DaimlerChrysler to greenlight the rear-drive, V-8 powered sedan, though financial woes have put this program in question. The Charger was to be based on a flexible next-generation sedan platform that will also provide underpinnings for the Intrepid and next 300 letter car.

What do you think, maybe $30,000-$55,000 bucks?!?!?!?

I dont think they would price the charger at that much?

  6. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

I think this will be close to 25 grand for one of these because look at he camaro it has more horse power than this in the Z 28

  7. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

Yeah, but this is in a different class. This is like a luxury cruiser.

    Luxury cruiser? Yeah...right thats a 540i or a 750Li not a Charger.

according to the motertrend website, it is to replace the intrepid. That is quite a shame because it shows chrysler is designing it as a passenger/family car. : /. I hope they make a separate version, possibly 2 door, performance package type thingy for real drivers : )

  13. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

    that would be sweet!

  14. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

    the are suicide doors, no?

  15. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

they* haha i cant type today...but yea point stands

  16. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

If you think of it, when they build this car they will most likely create a Non-Family version. The main reason I belive in this, is because they are putting the Hemi engine in it. Plus the engine the makers say can pump out even more Horsepower if they wanted. Hi-Power version her we come. I am so excited, if they dont ruin this cars design at launch, sorry Crossfire I found a new baby.

  17. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

    yay, hemi!

  18. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

yeah they are pretty much ike those found on the upcoming RX-8 sport coupe...

however, it seems more likely that the production Charger will be a sedan with 4 full size doors and not a 2+2 door coupe.

  19. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

It is going to be an extremly nice car, no doubts there. But im guessing that the R/T with the hemi engine in it will run close in performance and price of the vette.

  20. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

    if it's even in there

  21. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

No, It would compete the M5 if it was like this. But there is new info out now and the Charger will be a replacement name for the Intrepid. I can't remember the engine offerings, but they weren't as good as this. And it is extremely ugly. It's got suicide doors out back!

    that sucks.

  23. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

    - even though pricing for both cars may end up being close...
the Charger is no way a Vette competitor... actually it'd find a better match running against SVT's mustang cobra

  24. Re: 2004 Dodge Charger R/T

    there's gonna b a option of the intrepid 3.7 V6, a 4.7 V8 or a 5.7 HEMI1, yes hemi, V8 pumpin out about 400 ponies!!!
