a guy at my school is selling a 94 BMW 850 with 106,000 miles for 16,500.
is that a good deal?
High miles like woah plus repair bill hell. But I gotta say yeah, cuz I've never seen a 8-series go under $25k.
That's substantially less than the car's value. It's almost certainly too good to be true. The car probably doesn't run, or it's been in a major accident, or some other shit like that.
850 what? CSi?
I cannot imagine that it's a CSI. Those aren't even under $40K for the most part. Value on this is also going to depend on the tranny. A 6-speed is going to be worth a lot more than an auto.
But most of all, if it doesn't have a thick folder of maintenance receipts, run away as fast as you can. It could easily end up being more costly than a good condition, low miles example.
dude , u ll have to sell ur clothes to pay for the services. A BMW V12 is not a cheap thing
That's so right...
Actually, clothes won't cover much costs.
I see 840's and 850's under $20,000 all the time! I absolutely love the styling of the car, and the CSi was a smoker. On the other hand buying this car is not a good idea, unless its the V8. That V12 is horse poop. Unreliable, only a few more horse power then the V8, and I've never seen a clean one
I'm not sure, German luxury cars aren't exactly reliable according to Consumer Reports
Nice car, but I would never buy one over 100K miles on it.
