    Oh dear........oh dear oh dear.
    I take it you're a yank?
Have u ever driven the Elise?
All Lotus' suck eh?...........when was the last time u drove an Exige, Elise or 340R?
The engine is awful........just how do u come to that conclusion?
120bhp from an extremely compact engine and it rockets to 60mph in 5.6secs?
125 top speed?.........when do u need to go that fast?
Try driving cars before u call them wanker!

Oh and about the main topic in this message:
The TVR Tuscan is not a rival of the Elise:
    The Tuscan starts at £38,000
    The Elise starts at £23,000

    Totally different cars!

This is a great little car, but it is in a completely different category to the Tuscan. The TVR costs at least double, and is configured completely differently (FR compared to Lotus' MR)

This is a track tool, a stripped out go-kart like road car. The Tuscan has more of a GT feel. Its more luxurious inside, and relies more on raw power. Ideally, I'd have one of each ;-)

@Bukem: Does your little Elise have a differential lock?

Nope - no diff lock on the Elise.

    Hey Smart one,

This car was not ment to comapre to the Tuscan. It was ment as a main competitor for the Porsche Boxter.

By the way wanna check, 2000 Road and track, don't know the month but It is the one with the 2003 Dodge Viper GTS-R on the cover and says
