    Yeah, I knew this, but it does differ to land in case of crash landing. I was waiting post from someone like Elise for pilot information about this... Now I can naturally read all from news.

    This happening in New York, how is there no video footage?

    You are correct, a single bird won't bring a plane down but a Flock of Seagulls can (If they're ingested in both engines).

    Yeah, the O/W on the A320 are supposed to be left alone in a ditching.

    Elise, the reports I read said that this plane ran into a whole gaggle of geese, not just one. So, yeah, wouldn't surprise me that birds had struck both engines.
