Any Italian speakers here?

  1. How would you say something along the lines of "Italian car show" or "Italian car gathering" in Italian? Whatever would be the most common phrase that would basically be the equivalent. Like, what would be on a promotional poster for such a thing?

"_________ di automobile italiana"? I've tried some online translators, but you know, their online translators.

  2. bump this when Amenasce is around

  3. "Salone"?

I know like the Turin auto show is "Salone dell'automobile di Torino"

like Salon de l'auto in french.

    Otherwise maybe "mostra"

  4. So possibly "Salone dell'automobile" if I don't want to have a location? Thanks for the help.

  5. Mafalda and LamBoy could help you out with this one I'm sure, as they're native Italian speakers - the first one mainly hangs out in Euro Cars and Car Comparisons to post Quattroruote laptimes. The latter is all over the place.

  8. come sai l'italiano?

  9. Cool. So then for a general car show, without listing a location or anything, I'd just say "Salone dell'automobile"? I'm guess that just basically means "car show", so how would I say the equivalent of "Italian car show" (meaning, a show for only Italian cars)? Thanks for the help.

  19. You're saying "the Italian exhibition of automobile", which is no doubt the right way to say it if the exhibition is an international one. But if I wanted to say "the exhibition of Italian automobile/-s" instead, what would be the correct way?

  20. I'm pretty sure it's "Va fanculo di automobile italiana".
